Milestone Games – Round 10 2026

Congratulations to Georgina Robertson & Bridie Feehan who will play in their 50th games this weekend!

Georgina Robertson

I’ve been lucky enough to play alongside Georgina Robbo since my very first youth girls season which was in 2012, where we met, 14 years ago.

After a few training sessions, you can’t not know the Robbos, but when Georgina added me on facebook not long after, I replied “thx for the add but do i know you?” which reflecting on now, couldn’t be more hilarious.

One of my strongest memories from that time was on a dress up night at the junior club. I wore a superman costume, to which at the time I thought was pretty cool, except Georgina made a thing of it saying “Superman? more like Supersuck”, and unfortunately for me, that caught on. I guess that’s why i’m Batman now.

Around the time of Georgina bullying me, we became siblings. (thanks Sue and George!) I got to hang out at the Robbos all the time. So our friendship surpassed just footy,

But back to the topic of footy, Robbo as you know, is tough as nails and is the epitome of “see ball, get ball”. I’ve never seen anyone get that low and not fall over!
In juniors, she was always the most reliable person in the team to beat her opponent and that is still true today. She’s incredible to watch play footy and such a natural. I think so highly of her strength and determination, and the fact that she puts her body on the line every single game is incredibly admirable.

On the topic of how strong Robbo is, has anyone actually ever seen her get tackled? Stability queen am I right? We’ve actually had this running joke for a while now that she is “untackleable”, and we are in some kind of tackle war. I have never been able to tackle her, she just stands there while I just hang off her… but one day i’ll get her!

When Georgina took a few seasons off I missed playing with her so much, I know I can speak on behalf of all of us that there is a big sigh of relief seeing her name listed. Also, just quietly, not only can she be bog on the field, but also on the night out, Robbo can handle her drinks alright. There’s too many times to name, but I know we all have a good story of Georgina on a night out, maybe involving one to many vodka red bulls?

To wrap this up just like a good Robbo tackle, I just wanna say how grateful I am to have met Georgina at footy and for everything that’s happened in between, and that for after all this time we are still here, playing together, it is so so special.

Here’s to 50 games ROBBO!!! lets get you to 100!

Ty Zagontinos

We’ve finally made it to Robbo’s 50th game – what an amazing achievement to celebrate this weekend. Somehow we keep roping you back in for another season Geo (Special thanks to #Wizz100) and we are so lucky to have you.

For those who aren’t familiar with Sheagles’ lore, Georgina was one of the few people down at Marcellin’s first ever session that started it all. Even when the first meeting about the Sheagles was a few support staff having a chat over beers at the pub, there was Robbo, committed to the vision. That inaugural 2017 magic year came from players like Georgie, who everyone that has had the pleasure of playing alongside her will agree, is one of the toughest and most honest footballers you’ll meet.

Whether it’s playing the 2018 Granny with two broken fingers (legend), or pulling off a ‘couch to 10km’ because she lost a bet.. she’s always up for the challenge. It comes as no surprise that she’s able to shut down any opponent she tags on gameday, or why she’s always the last one standing on a night out.

I am extremely lucky to have played with Georgie throughout our juniors, where she had the same determination and strength she shows today. She’s always been a gun. We won ourselves a few flags back in the day and thanks to the Nest we got to share another one in 2017. Those memories we will cherish for a lifetime, how sweet it would be to add another flag to the list… Either way, having you around the club makes footy all the more special. We are so happy you’ve returned to the Nest to play 50 games. You are an absolute weapon and I couldn’t ask for a better teammate and sister to play alongside. Go well Robbo!!!!

Bridie Feehan

Today we’re celebrating a pretty special milestone – Bridie’s 50th game for the club.

I’ve been lucky enough to know Bridie both on and off the field, and one of my favourite memories with her actually happened standing on the sidelines before a game. We somehow ended up deciding we were going to move to London together. It was one of those conversations that probably should have stayed a sideline chat, but instead turned into a real-life adventure. Looking back, it sums her up perfectly – spontaneous, loyal, and the kind of person who’s always up for taking on something new.

One of the things I admire most about Bridie is how supportive she is as a friend. She’s always there when you need her, always looking out for other people, and always putting others before herself. And the scary thing is, she brings exactly that same attitude onto the footy field.

She is genuinely one of the most selfless players I’ve ever played with. Whatever the team needs, she’ll do it. Need someone to play ruck? No worries. Centre half back? Done. A position she’s never played before? Give her about five minutes and she’ll somehow look like an expert.

To be honest, it’s pretty frustrating how naturally athletic she is. She’s one of those people who can just pick things up and be good at them straight away, she just wanders into a position and makes it look easy.

Her selflessness on the field is legendary. In fact, it might be her defining trait. Especially when she has the ball within kicking distance. Because while most players might think about having a shot or driving the ball forward, Bridie immediately starts looking for a teammate to handball to. And when I say “looking for a teammate”, I mean finding the teammate in the absolute worst possible position. As someone who has been on the receiving end of a few of those handballs, I can confirm that her commitment to sharing the footy is unmatched. Even if it means her teammate gets absolutely slammed in a tackle a second later.

But jokes aside, that’s what makes her such a great teammate. She’s never thinking about herself. She’s always looking to bring other people into the game and make the people around her better.

Over 50 games, she’s become someone this club can always rely on. Not just because she’s an incredible athlete, but because she’s the sort of person every team wants and every club needs. She puts the team first, and she makes everyone around her feel supported.

So congratulations on 50 games, Bridie. Thank you for being such an amazing friend, teammate, adventurer, occasional hospital-pass specialist, and all-round legend.

Congratulations on 50 games to #25, Bridie Feehan!

Bridie’s football journey began one Thursday night when we came down for an information session and luckily (or unluckily!) met Boydo. Within minutes of leaving Marcellin, Bridie texted me: “Lol, he has already added me.” Boydo had already tracked down her Facebook and messaged her to come to training the following week. At the start, we’d only attend training if we knew the other was going – a bi-weekly “Are you going tonight?” text determined our attendance. But within a few short weeks, Bridie became a beloved member of the team, forging strong connections with the other girls and bravely going to training even when I couldn’t make it.

I vividly remember one of Bridie’s first-ever games when she was put at full-forward. She spent the entire quarter leading up and down the 9-metre length of the goal square, never once leaving it. At quarter-time, I asked if this was some bizarre strategy the coach had designed for Bridie. She casually replied, “No, but I’m full-forward, so I’m not allowed to leave the square!”

While she started with a hilariously literal understanding of her position, Bridie’s ultimate transition to the football field has been effortless. Despite her first two seasons being cut short by COVID, she earned a spot in the Seniors for her first full season in 2022. Since then, she has been a dominant presence on the field, renowned for her running capacity and ability to read the play. Bridie always seems to come out of nowhere to grab a crucial intercept mark, shifting the momentum of the game right when the team needs it most.

Brids, it has been an absolute pleasure being on the same team as you again. You make football competitive yet light-hearted, and there is no better teammate to run out with and cheer on. Good luck this weekend, and remember to kick the ball!

Lots of love, Liv.
