Congratulations to Isaac Bone who will play in their 50th game this weekend!
Isaac Bone
Isaac “flat earth” Bone. Known for his unusual pre game routines and commitment to the hard ball, he has become a culture player at Marcellin despite a short hiatus when he left for Bulleen, but Luke Facci has since forgiven him for this.
In all seriousness, Isaac’s calm presence around the ball and encouraging nature set him apart as a great teammate on and off the field, making him a pivotal player down back. The backline is where Isaac has spent most of his career, even throughout juniors he has always found it home, opting for the small team moments rather than the glory up forward.
Not many know, but Isaac’s highlight game was actually across the road at Bulleen, where the moon and stars aligned for a blinder up forward. Four goals to the I Bone name is a story that lives on in Bulleen folklore, even if it came at the wrong club. Let’s hope he can do the same at the nest this week in his 50th.
