Congratulations on your 50 games Jazzy!
If I had to sum her up, I’d say she’s an allrounder.
There genuinely isn’t a position on the field she can’t play. She’s electric as a forward, runs hard on the wing, can play in the ruck, and has somehow reinvented herself as a half back. She’s a pleasure to have on the field and one of my favourites up forward. I mean who can forget that double cobra in the grand final… probably me, because I wasn’t actually there, I was having cocktails in Florence, but from what I’ve heard, she was unstoppable.
There’s just no escaping her impact on the game, and if you’ve ever been in her path for the footy, good luck. I’ll never forget when she genuinely floored me in a marking contest, so much so I had bruises for days. I thought it was a bit stiff since we were the only two going for the mark.
Jazzy gives 100% to everything she does. Whether that’s on a game day or a night out, you’re getting the same energy, the same intensity, and the same passion. It’s a safe bet to assume Jazz is going to be the last to leave an event. Many a times I’ve called it early to find out that Jazz has been at my house till 3am still partying with my whole family while I was asleep upstairs.
I’m proud to say that she was my very first friend at the club. She was, and still is, this constant ball of energy that lifts up everyone around her. One of the bravest people I know, Jazz is never afraid to take a risk and put herself out there, whether that’s in footy or in life.
Her resilience is also something that doesn’t get talked about enough. She’s dealt with her fair share of injuries and always shows up and gets to work, running lap after lap, and constantly hitting the gym. That persistence is one of her most underrated strengths, and it says everything about her character as a person and a teammate.
She’s such a wholesome presence and I love the way she goes about her game. Boydo once told Jazz to think of the ball in a marking contest as something she wouldn’t want to drop. Now as an aunty twice over, her mantra is “don’t drop the baby, don’t drop the baby.” Every now and then, you’ll hear her whisper that in a game.
She has quickly integrated herself within my family, to the point where no one even bats an eye when Jazzy crashes at ours and is instead welcomed with bacon and eggs in the morning. I think my dad likes her more than me.
So excited to run out with you this Saturday and to try and play as selflessly and as tough as you do. You’re all heart Jazz, happy 50 games!

Where to even begin!
I’m so proud to be running out there with you on your 50th game and I hope we have 50 more in us.
I met Jazzy I’m assuming when she was a little gal trying to keep up with her big sisters who have all played at the club at some point or another, I actually got to know her as a friend in the 2023 season where we won a flag together which was an amazing experience, you’ll understand when you’re older.
Jazzy and I instantly got on and I was sure she was going to be a life long friend and some sort of influence. I’ll leave it up to you to decide whether it was a good or bad one…
It’s been a privilege having played footy with all of the Getsons, but it’s been particularly special getting to play alongside Jazzy. I think we can all agree Jazzy lights up any room, she has an incredibly infectious personality and truly cares about everyone and anyone.
One of my favourite memories of Jazzy is her story of barking like a dog at some random boys that wouldn’t leave her and her friend alone. I think that sums up the kind of friend Jazzy is.
I think Jazzy gives off quite a tough exterior, but once you get to know her she is a sensitive, mushy soul who will tell you how much she loves you in any break in conversation or silence or really just any chance she gets.
I’ve seen Jazzy go through some hard times and I’m always inspired by her courage. Whenever she’s faced with difficult challenges she always seems to go head first. Thankfully, she comes out the other side unscathed and with so much wisdom beyond her years.
She is one of a kind and someone I know will literally drop anything to support her friends and family. She is such a warm, positive person in my life and to have around the club, and I’ve always said that.
You will literally never see Jazzy miss a footy event unless she’s in Europe. Even with these trips away she never misses a beat at training and somehow I think all that Guinness has improved her footy skills. On nights out, you can always count on Jazzy if you want to go big, and then wake up hungover with multiple voice memos from her discussing the antics of the night. Truly a solid player on and off the field.
I think everyone here knows the value this girl brings to Marcellin, and I’m not just talking about her dad, or her sisters, or Charlie, or her ability to sink beers.
In all seriousness Jazzy is an irreplaceable person and when running out this weekend for her 50th game, I want us all to embody Jazzy. Let’s bring her passion into our game, go hard at whatever comes our way and never give up. That’s what Jazzy would do.
Congrats on 50 my girl, love u always!
