Milestone Games – Saturday 21 June 2025

Congratulations to Shaun Tyquin (100 games), Harry Greenwood (50 games) and Jacob Tascone (50 games) who will all play in milestones this weekend!

Shaun Tyquin

Tykes – 100 Games

100 games this weekend mate, what a great achievement!

Tykes’ MOCFC career started back in 2016 as a fresh-faced 17-year-old when his business management teacher Simon Abrahams needed a way to connect with his student (the bookwork wasn’t cutting it), so he recruited the curly-headed kid into his U19s team. Since then, the number 7 has been a top contributor for Marcellin week in and week out.

When he isn’t travelling to Europe or Japan, or doing his hamstring in a student teacher relay race, Tykes is the kind of teammate you love running out with every week, a tough hard competitor.

I’ve had the privilege of playing with Tykes over the past nine years and we’ve shared some great memories both on and off the field. He’s the kind of bloke who will always give you a laugh, even if the joke barely deserves one, which says a lot about the kind of person he is.

Go well this weekend mate, hopefully we get the win for you and then back it up in the beer pong tournament later that night!

Harry Greenwood

Congrats to Harry “Sharpshooter” Greenwood on finally reaching the incredible milestone of 50 games for the club. You’ve been a massive player for the club ever since I’ve been here, from taking the absolute piss back in the 19s to now being a huge part of the senior backline.

As soon as I got to the club, it was easy to tell Harry had some of the best hands at the club. In my first few games of 19s, he would’ve taken 10 contested marks a game down forward. His set shots from those… we won’t talk about, but they definitely all went straight through. Harry probably robbed himself of a 19s BnF that year had he not decided to make his yearly trip to his residence in Montenegro. Nonetheless, he had a phenomenal year regardless and still managed a top 5 finish despite only playing half the season.

Since then, Harry has gone from kicking five in the ressies whenever he feels like it to locking down key forwards in the 1s and hitting blokes lace-out on his opposite. He’s been a huge part of the team and we’re much better for having him out there on the field.

You’re a huge part of the club mate and everyone’s keen to see you have a ripper game this weekend. Again, massive congrats on 50 games!

Jacob Tascone

It’s with great pleasure that I get to congratulate Tazz on reaching 50 games this weekend.

Tazz came to Marcellin after graduating from the school in 2017, where I had the chance to play alongside him for two years in the Under 19s. He brought all his forward craft, speed and efficient skills from his junior years at Banyule, manifesting goals from just about anywhere. Although his craft didn’t just result in his own goals, being such a team-oriented player, he would’ve had just as many goal assists, if not more, as he brought his teammates into the game.

You can never discount Jacob’s effort. At every contest he’s involved in, he only knows one way, and that way is 100%. Even if it means going head to head with an opponent double his height or weight, it doesn’t faze him.

Although always being a hard and gritty player, I remember one time Jacob pulled up after a game with what looked like a hamstring injury. He showed up to the next training session on crutches, and everyone assumed he was in for a long stint on the sidelines. After less than a week, the crutches had miraculously disappeared, and he was back on the field for our next game. Tazz insists he was instructed the crutches were necessary.

Tazz always prides himself on both his on-field and off-field performances. He’s renowned for attending the famous Nest Ball in a new three-piece suit each year, outdoing his previous attire every time. If there were a B&F for best dressed, I’m sure he would’ve claimed it.

Over the last few years, Tazz has returned to Marcellin, playing in the Thirds when he can, while balancing his role assisting with coaching the Heidelberg senior women’s team. It’s clear that since his return to footy, he hasn’t lost his touch, still snagging goals, setting up teammates and having a real influence on the game.

Congrats mate on 50 games, go well and enjoy the weekend.
